Dee Buckminster
Partner & Wealth Advisor, CFP®, CPFA
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with my clients and help them achieve their financial goals. I take pride in taking a holistic approach, working closely with my client's CPAs, and trust lawyers to ensure the seamless execution of their plans. Through my accounting background, I know that taxes can pose significant obstacles to financial planning, and I strive to ensure my clients maintain their wealth while investing and exceeding their goals.
I have been working in the financial industry since 2000, beginning with Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch. In 2022, I was honored to be named one of the top 25 Financial Advisors in the state for Women and All Advisors by Forbes. This recognition reinforces my passion for providing my clients with the best service and care possible. For 2023, I have been named one of the top 25 Financial Advisors in the state for Women by Forbes.
My family is integral to my success, and I am fortunate to have a loving husband, John Buckminster, and two beautiful daughters. My eldest, Alicia, attends Kenan Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill, and Lauren is on the Cross Country and Track teams at High Point University. In my spare time, I enjoy being active by running, biking, and spending time on the lake. I also volunteer as a coach for the cross country and track teams for Bandys High School, where I was awarded Conference Coach of the Year in 2022. Additionally, I sit on the Parent Counsel Board for Kenan Flagler.
I am grateful for the opportunities I have had and look forward to continuing to help my clients achieve their financial dreams.
The Forbes ranking of America’s Top Wealth Advisors and Best-In-State Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative criteria learned through telephone, virtual and in-person due diligence interviews, and quantitative data such as revenue trends and assets under management. The algorithm additionally weighs factors such as service models, compliance records and industry experience, and focuses on those that encompass best practices in their approach to working with clients. All advisors that are considered have a minimum of seven years experience. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receive a fee in exchange for rankings. The Forbes ranking award is not indicative of the wealth manager's future performance.
