I began my career as a financial advisor in Clayton, NC. I am a 1999 and 2006 graduate of East Carolina University. I hold a bachelor's degree and master's degree. I graduated with honors from both programs and have taught Economics, Finance, and History on the high school and university level.

I am a veteran of the U.S. Army and NC National Guard, serving for over 28 years in reconnaissance and infantry roles. I retired in 2018 with the rank of Sergeant Major. Past assignments included supervising numerous programs and leading Soldiers at all levels. A highlight was planning and executing financial education for Soldiers while deployed overseas.

My experience with Soldiers and students led me to my career in the financial industry and Destination Wealth Advisors. I enjoy helping others and I am dedicated to putting my clients first, understanding what is most important to them, and then make that most important for me. I am an advocate of long-term investing and believe in having a sound financial strategy that is easy to understand, follow, and personalized to the client.

Outside of my work with Destination Wealth Advisors, I'm a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Holy Cross Church and serve on many boards and committees in the local community. In my free time, I like to volunteer with local service organizations and spend as much time as possible with family and friends. I also enjoy anything outdoors and spend much of my time working on home improvement, other projects, and reading.
